Health information–indeed disease curing information–based on some of the most interesting research ever shared is about water. Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, MD (known affectionately as Dr. Batman) has written several books on the subject but Water for Health, for Healing, for Life is essential reading. (www.watercure.com)
Dr. Batman was a political prisoner in an Iranian prison who began trying to help fellow prisoners manifesting stress induced diseases (which is pretty much all disease). The prison became this doctor’s laboratory and the story is a great read as his work actually saved his own life….and he refused early release so that he could finish his research.
I recommend reading this doctor’s overview of “present-day medicine” with its history and its troubles. He agrees with every objective resource I have read when he says, (p 13) “The current practice of clinical medicine is based on the application of pharmacological chemistry to the human body. At medical schools, more than six hundred teaching hours are allocated to the use of pharmaceutical products. Only a few hours are allocated to instructions on diet and food. It seems that in most “disease” conditions, medical educators are trying to force the test-tube understanding of chemistry into the human body.”
He goes on, “The trouble is, pharmaceutical or chemical products do not cure most disease conditions. Nor are most of these products safe for long-term use. They only temporarily mask and silence the outward manifestation of the problem.”
This book, in simple layman’s terms, explains that the human body is 75% water and 25% solid matter with the brain 85% water. Water is the solvent and the solid matter the solute. He points out that most research has concentrated on the 25% solute and that led to what he terms the “medical-industrial system”.
The doctor teaches the many biochemical and biophysical functions of the water/solvent in our bodies as well as the insidious problem of dehydration–insidious because the feeling of thirst is not adequate for causing us to take in enough. The blood, when properly hydrated, is 94% water . Inside our cells should ideally be about 75% water. He makes us understand why being “a quart low” can throw our bodies out of balance starting at the cellular level and carrying on to organic, systemic diseases.
Staying hydrated with pure, clean water is essential for health and other drinks don’t count–tea, coffee, soft drinks, power drinks, yada yada yada, do not count for a lot of reasons including that some act as diuretics.
It’s obvious that throwing off wastes in urine and perspiration depletes us of water that must be replaced….
The tag line of this book is, “You’re not sick, you’re thirsty!” If you want to be healthy, read it and follow the simple, logical, recommendations. This doctor has figured out water as viewed physiologically and anatomically–even biochemically.
As I read this book, I couldn’t help but think about another fascinating little book, The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist. Emoto has developed a way to photograph and microscopically view single water crystals. That’s a feat, but there’s more. He has made such photos of all “kinds” of water–water exposed to various music; water from various “stressed” lakes and rivers; water from public drinking supplies; water before and after being prayed over; and, most amazing, water exposed to written and/or spoken words in various languages. Turns out that water exposed to the words, “Love” and “Gratitude” create the most well organized beautiful crystals. Water exposed to the word, satan, and hateful words make disorganized and ugly crystals.
It would seem that this scientist has made a discovery about the substance that makes up 75% of our bodies with its “emotional” and even spiritual relevance.
All this discovery regarding water — or regarding 75% of our bodies— calls to mind how water is spoken of in the Bible. Baptism with water first and the Holy Spirit second….clean and dirty water not being able to spring from the same source…a pool of salt water can’t produce fresh water…..the great flood….Living water (from Jesus)….water of life…..noise of raging waters…waters turned to blood……water to wine (Jesus’s first miracle)….Water is a major theme in the book of Revelation.
John 7:38 (God’s Word translation)….As Scripture says, ‘Streams of living water will flow from deep within the person who believes in me (Jesus).”
It makes sense that water must flow through our bodies to remain purified and, indeed, “living”…..rather than still and stagnated. The water in the Dead Sea has no “outlet” and will not support life. Only water that flows remains un-stagnated.
The water in our bodies is involved in 75% of our inner chemistry and not just a transport mechanism but part of the “electric charges” that make us alive…..We don’t pay much attention until we are thirsty or we just drink things we like the taste of without a lot of thought to what travels into our bodies with that particular fluid.
In her book, Re-thinking Cancer, Ruth Sackman (Foundation for Advanced Cancer Therapy) www.rethinkingcancer.com says, “Science and medicine are so bogged down in research formats that even when a system is obvious, they hesitate coming to a definitive conclusion. Dr. “Batman”, locked away in an Iranian prison, scientifically observed an “obvious” system……and it fits how we are “wonderfully made”……
The “rule of thumb” seems to be to divide your body weight by 2 and use the resulting number to indicate how many ounces of pure clean water you should drink per day….NOT waiting until you feel thirsty and NOT counting stuff you really shouldn’t be drinking anyway…..
