John G. Lake, a renown and true “General of God” ministered absolute Biblical precepts and practice of physical healing early in the 20th Century in several areas of the world. It was a time of difficult travel and yet he took his large family to South Africa for ministering there. He also established a vibrant prayer- for-healing ministry headquartered in Washington State which still has “healing room” ministries all over the country.
The John G. Lake family has determined, however, to allow Lake’s name to be associated with only one of the many ministries seeking to follow the precepts Lake taught. It is the place this ministry germinated from and it is powerful. I believe that Curry’s words, though familiar to too many of us who have lost loved ones to disease, will strengthen you. You will not be drawn into pity but into power and you will know why the John G Lake family allows this ministry to use the great man of God’s name.
There is no pretense, showmanship, salesmanship or darkness in Curry’s ministry but spending time under this humble man’s teaching is unspeakably empowering because it IS steeped in God’s Living Word. It provides the real substance that fills hope. Curry also studied under the great healing minister and fellow Texan, Lester Sumrall.
